The Project.

For Angelito, directors Marvin A. Smith and MG developed a strong visual concept inspired by early 2000s music videos. The goal was to capture a nostalgic yet contemporary look within a lean production framework.

Shot over a single studio day, the project presented challenges such as a compact crew and a tight location. To overcome these, I focused on a simple but effective lighting design that emphasized atmosphere and performance while keeping the setup agile. We filmed on a RED Helium with OM Primes, which gave the imagery crisp detail and a cinematic texture.

In post-production, MG elevated the visuals further with background extensions and clean-up work, enhancing the overall scale of the video beyond the physical limits of the set.

The result is a stylish and energetic video that blends throwback aesthetics with modern execution.
